Tu connais ça, Ptittedt?
C'est par des défrichements temporaires, "sarts" ou "essarts", qu'on parvient à étendre peu à peu, faiblement en somme, le domaine de sa culture. Il faut sarcler sans trêve.
Entrer, un peu par hasard, dans la sarabande des sites dévolus à la (pop) musique en tant qu'art, c'est entrer dans une danse qui fait perdre la tête; c'est goûter aux nectars entêtants d'un festin de Sardanapale; respirer l'âcre et stimulante essence de l'asaret; mordre au sarcocarpe fruit d'un savoir de bazar (mais le beau est bizarre!)... Je sais, je m'égare. (En bref, ça reste un loisir de satrape.)

Tiré de son sarcophage par Wes Anderson (et entraîné à bord du "Darjeeling Limited" -logique, notre homme est né indien), voici ressuscité Peter Sarstedt, la star esthète -Ishtar barbata ou Astarté jet-set (fils de la lune et de la pluie, chantre de la volupté); Sâr (roi -en assyrien) ou tsar du folk psychédélique anglais, auteur d'une rengaine ("Where do you go to, my lovely"), devenue rare, qui connut un temps la tête des charts. "My Resistance is low", chantait son frère (Clive Robin Sarstedt); la notre est anéantie, lorsque résonne l'album ci-joint, beau comme une cathédrale. More lollipops for you, donc, mes amis. Sur ce, sayonara!

Si Dieu existe, il y a quand même certaines choses qu'il a réussies: les paysages de montagne et les jeunes filles en fleurs; la filmographie d'Howard Hawks ou celle de Fritz Lang; le jardin du Luxembourg et ceux de la Villa Borghese; Raymond Roussel et Jules Verne; le Greco; la musique de Mozart, de Schubert, de Debussy et de Ravel, celle de Messiaen, de Berg...
